2018 AVID Celebration at Dowling Elementary School

For the third year in a row, administration, faculty and staff from Odessa College attended an AVID Celebration at Dowling Elementary School, honoring the achievements of the 4^th- and 5^th-grade AVID students and celebrating the 5^th-graders commitment to college with a banner signing by all involved students. A number of prizes were also awarded to both 4^th - and 5^th -grade students, with winners selected by a random drawing from all the names of those actively taking part in the AVID program. Odessa College Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management Kim McKay served as the MC, and all OC representatives present formed a “High Five” line to congratulate the 5^th-graders after they signed the Commitment to College banner.
